Natural resources include everything that the Earth provides that we need to live and survive. Knowing the importance of the natural resources to human life we must be aware that natural resources cannot be replenished once they have been depleted. We need to be very cautious that some natural resources we use are more easily renewed than others (Media: 1.5 Resource, n.d.). We need to be aware that we are responsible in the use and protection of the world around us through proper conservation and sustainable practices and that our mission needs to safeguard and protect the Earth: its people, its animals and plants and the natural systems on which all life depends. Sustainability will help us to create an environment that will sustain life on Earth for longer than our own lifetimes. However, the practice of sustainability is more difficult, and we need to ask ourselves â€Å"how we can make our environmental footprint smaller?† Richard Rogers, a British architect, says, â€Å"The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved.† That is why we need to look for ways to get involved and do everything in our power to ensure a better future for us and the future generations. We need to set specific targets for continuous reduction in environmental impact and create a plan for a sustainable future.
